Saints rally to top Cardinals
A pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth helped St. James Area hold off Redwood Valley 4-3 Saturday in opening round Section 3AA postseason play.

Cardinals sweep titles at Sub-Section Track Meet
It was a clean sweep for the Redwood Valley boys and girls track teams as they both claimed titles at the Sub-Section Meet held at the Inglis Track and Field Complex in Redwood Falls. Redwood Valley will now take their talents to the Section Meet held today in Montevideo.
Cardinal girls in good shape to claim Section
The Redwood Valley girls golf teams quest for a Section 3AA title was in good shape after one round of play Wednesday, May 24 at the Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake. The Cardinals fired a 334 team total to lead by eight strokes over defending champion Minnewaska Area (342) with 18 holes left to play.
Rabbit girls still alive in Section title hunt
Despite a heartbreaking loss to KMS the Wabasso girls softball team remains alive in the hunt for the Section 3A title. Wabasso opened up Section 3A play with a pair of victories over Lakeview and RTR to advance to the semifinals where they would lose a tough one to rival KMS 1312.
Jaxx drop season opener
The Wabasso Jaxx recently dropped their season opener to the Sacred Heart Saints by a score of 10-4 at City Field in Wabasso. A quick start by the Saints put any hopes of a comeback out of reach as Sacred Heart scored at least once in each of the first four innings to take control.

Reality Bytes?
What is reality? Is reality only what I look around and see – and touch? Or is reality only limited by my imagination? I mean, I’m certainly not tethered to reality. If there was an alternate reality, I’d entertain it.
Letter to the Editor
To the editor: A recent quote from San Antonio Express- News entitled ‘Let’s keep religion out of public schools’ stated: “we are a nation in which people enjoy freedom of religion — any religion — as well as freedom from religion.” Actually, public schools have been forcing religion on kids for decades. Having looked over Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Science, I was wondering what they presented as proof for evolution in benchmark 9L.4.1.1.3; specifically item two which says changes in environmental conditions may result in: “the emergence of new species over time.” It references the National Academy of Sciences ‘A Framework for K-12 Science Education.’ citing (LS4.A) ‘Evidence for Common Ancestry’ (section for grade 12), it says genetic information provides evidence of evolution.
