Wabasso senior dining menu through Friday, April 7
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wabasso Senior Dining is only offering home delivery of meals, until further notice. Home delivery is available to those residing in Wabasso, Wanda, Lucan, Seaforth, Vesta, Delhi, Lamberton, Redwood Falls, Clements, Morton, Fairfax, Franklin, Gibbon, and Winthrop. To order a meal, or for more information, call Diane at 507-829-2385. You are asked to call one day prior by noon to order a meal. The cost is $4 a meal for those ages 60 and over; $2 on Thursdays for Wabasso residents. Menus are subject to change.
The Skally Line at Wabasso Library April 5
The Skally Line will be at the Wabasso Public Library on Wednesday, April 5 at 4 p.m. The Skally Line steams its way around the curves and bends of early American music: String band blues, Appalachian ballads, fiddle tunes, early country and bluegrass, and Tin Pan Alley music.

Cardinals fall just short in State Tournament bid
A cinderella postseason run to State came up just short for the Redwood Valley boys basketball team as they fell to Eden Valley- Watkins 75-72 in the Section 3AA title game held recently on the campus of SMSU in Marshall.

Pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Child’s Place, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization located in Redwood Falls, is requesting support by making a minimum donation of $50 for a pinwheel sponsorship.

Meaningful tax relief must precede bonding
On Thursday, March 16, Senate Democrats forced a bonding bill to the Senate floor for a vote. This is the only bill that requires a 3/5 majority vote (41 votes) thus requiring seven Republican senators to vote for the bill. It failed to receive the necessary votes for passage.

To the editor: Sure it would be nice to build a new elementary school in Redwood Falls. I for one am not opposed to improving and remodeling a school building that is still intact.
