Redwood County awarded grant to improve Plum Creek Park

People who enjoy outdoor recreation in Redwood County will soon have their experiences enhanced, once recommendations are approved to fund $818,539 of improvements at Plum Creek Park. The Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission (GMRPTC) recently completed its application review process and chose Plum Creek Park and 13 other parks and trails around the state for $11.4 million in funding for fiscal year 2024.

Pamela “Pam” Dvorak

Pamela “Pam” Dvorak, 62, of St. Cloud passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in St. Cloud Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls. Condolences may be sent via www.nelson-hillestad.com. Pam Kay (Holscher) Dvorak was born on June 16, 1960, to Tom and Marge (Ostrowski) Holscher in St. Cloud. After graduating from St. Cloud Apollo High School in 1978, she moved with her family to Redwood Falls where she worked at JCPenney’s. Pam married Jim Panitzke in 1980, going on to have four children: Ben, Tina, Alysa, and Emma. Pam moved to St. Cloud in 2018 and married Kevin Dvorak. Pam dedicated her life to being a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Pam’s greatest joy was her eight grandchildren. She always said that being a grandma was the greatest job she could have ever asked for. Whether it was playing games, sewing, watching sporting events, baking, or just sitting by the campfire, Grandma Pam was always the center of their worlds. Pam treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment she could spend with them. Pam was an amazing caregiver, she always knew the right things to say, never missed a special date or occasion and was always there for anyone that needed her. Taking care of others was always Pam’s biggest passion and hobby and it was evident in the work she did. Pam was always drawn to children, running a daycare, and working in the school systems for over 20 years. She always had a soft spot for the underdog. Pam enjoyed working in customer service all her
