The Highway 19 bridge in Redwood Falls reopened Tuesday morning, July 26. It was closed July 21 so crews could pour the first half of the new deck surface. Originally slated to be closed through July 29, the concrete reached 100 percent strength earlier than expected.

Dahms stood up for small business in the 2021-22 legislative sessions. The state’s major small business organization, the National Federation of Independent Business, or NFIB, presented Senator Gary Dahms (R-Redwood Falls) with the prestigious Guardian of Small Business Award.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wabasso Senior Dining is only offering home delivery of meals, until further notice. Home delivery is available to those residing in Wabasso, Wanda, Lucan, Seaforth, Vesta, Delhi, Lamberton, Redwood Falls, Clements, Morton, Fairfax, Franklin, Gibbon, and Winthrop. To order a meal, or for more information, call Diane at 507-829-2385. You are asked to call one day prior by noon to order a meal. The cost is $4 a meal for those ages 60 and over; $2 on Thursdays for Wabasso residents. Menus are subject to change.

The Redwood Falls City Council met Tuesday, July 19 and approved the temporary on-sale liquor license application for Saint Catherine's Church. Saint Catherine's is hosting an event Sept. 11, on the church property located at 900 E Flynn Street.

The Redwood County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, July 19, and recognized Jason Jacobson, Sheriff’s Department, for his 20 years of service to Redwood County, Briana Mumme, Economic Development, and Lisa Reynolds, Sheriff’s Department for five years of service to Redwood County.
