I didn’t find my identity, it found me

Perhaps you hear people talking about figuring out who they are and where they fit in this big busy world. I can understand that. There are many opportunities that open up to people, especially in this country, and it’s a big wide world. With all the opportunities before us and with all the problems that we could face, it can be hard to figure out where we fit in all of it. Who am I and what should I be doing with my life? These are questions that we want to answer to help us identify who we are and what we should be doing. For me, however, the answer didn’t come from within myself, it came from outside of me.

Letter to the Editor

To the editor: Fellow taxpayers of RASD, we have a major decision to make in a few short days. Will we agree to allow two mega-corporations from the metro to come into our community, suck up our hardearned tax dollars, and then leave us with twenty years of principal and interest to pay off to the tune of $77 million? Yes, that is the number at the bottom of the amortization schedule supplied by the superintendent.

Joan M. Brown, 91, of Morton passed away peacefully Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Cannon River Senior Living Memory Care Unit in Cannon Falls. Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Morton. The family invites family and friends to join them at the Morton Park from 4-7 p.m. after the cemetery service. Gerald “Gerry” Patten, 74, of Redwood Falls passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow the service at Redwood City Cemetery.
