Cardinal freshmen capture Title

A group of Redwood Valley freshmen capped off their season by winning the Mississippi Division of the MYAS Freshman Basketball Championships held March 6 at Mounds View High School. The Cardinals topped Prior Lake Gold, Spring Lake Park and overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat Duluth Denfeld in the title game. The Holy Spirit will strengthen our faith

Dear friends in Christ, in the Gospel text from Luke 4:1-13 we read about the time that the devil personally tempted Jesus in the wilderness. God the Son has taken up human flesh. He is bringing the battle to the earth. This is the one who will crush the serpent’s head. Not long after the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in bodily form, like a dove; this very same Spirit led Jesus in the wilderness for forty days of temptation. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry.

From visits with the House and Senate Capitol Investment Committees to securing funding to repair and expand several miles of trail, the Friends of the Casey Jones State Trail has been making significant headway over the last year. While we’re building momentum, we’re looking for community support and volunteers to help accelerate progress on the Casey Jones State Trail.

Mary Jane Frank

Mary Jane Frank, 85, entered into heaven peacefully on March 18, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Interment will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Olivia. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 27, with a 2:30 p.m. rosary service at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Dianne Faye (Schoer) Kretsch

Passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age of 73. Preceded in death by parents, Eldo and Dorothy Schoer; siblings, Jerome and Roger Schoer, Marilyn Bratland. Survived by children, Thomas (Julie) Kretsch and Tina Kretsch and their father Victor Kretsch; grandchildren, Tyler, Jaimee, Jessica, Wyatt, Elliot and Stella; partner, Melvin “Vinny” Lewandowski; siblings, Joyce Ziske, Jeanette (Dale) Boklep and Eldo Jr. “Butch” (Liz) Schoer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dianne grew up in Wabasso, moved to the cities to raise her family and enjoyed retirement in Pharr, Texas. Memorial service at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65, Blaine, MN) Saturday, April 2nd at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.
