At the Redwood Falls City Council meeting Feb. 1, the council approved the policy of the Redwood Falls Police Department authorizing and requiring the use of body-worn cameras (BWCs). This policy is issued by the department in the course of official duties. The purpose of using BWCs is for capturing evidence that may arise from police-citizen encounters.
