The Redwood Falls Community Youth Foundation is encouraging others to apply and donate. Every child deserves the opportunity to participate in activities our community has to offer. As full registration fees can often be a hardship, the foundation is re questing donations to help reach their goal in providing more scholarships for youth participation in parks and recreation and community education programs.

During the Feb. 15 Redwood County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board accepted a $1,000 anonymous donation to the Redwood County Sheriff’s department. The money will be used toward equipment. Sheriff Randy Hanson presented the request for new ballistic vest and helmet replacements for deputies on the ERU team. The board approved the amount of $10,461.72 for these replacements.
In January 2007, Daktronics made a significant investment in the City of Redwood Falls when it expanded its operations in the community. Over the past 15 years the company and the city have truly benefitted from each other.
