Community Youth Foundation seeks support and scholarship applications

The Redwood Falls Community Youth Foundation is encouraging others to apply and donate. Every child deserves the opportunity to participate in activities our community has to offer. As full registration fees can often be a hardship, the foundation is re questing donations to help reach their goal in providing more scholarships for youth participation in parks and recreation and community education programs.

WABASSO SENIOR DINING MENU

In response to the pandemic, Wabasso Senior Dining is only offering home delivery of meals, until further notice. Home delivery is available to those residing in Wabasso, Wanda, Lucan, Seaforth, Vesta, Delhi, Lamberton, Redwood Falls, Clements, Morton, Fairfax, Franklin, Gibbon and Winthrop.

County Board makes plans to demolish courthouse

During the Feb. 15 Redwood County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board accepted a $1,000 anonymous donation to the Redwood County Sheriff’s department. The money will be used toward equipment. Sheriff Randy Hanson presented the request for new ballistic vest and helmet replacements for deputies on the ERU team. The board approved the amount of $10,461.72 for these replacements.
