The CM/Comfrey boys basketball team improved to a perfect 3-0 on the season with victories over Springfield and SESM.
The Cougars held off a game Springfield squad 95-88 as Tanner Kokesch knocked down five three-pointers and was 10-of-11 from the charity stripe on the way to a season-high 29 points and three rebounds.
Nate Golden added 19 points, six rebounds and five steals and Dalton Kleinschmidt finished with 21 points and five steals.
Zak Pendleton pitched in with 14 points.
The Cougars then raced out to a 38-22 halftime lead on SESM and cruised to an 83-48 victory.
Kleinschmidt led four Cougars in double figures with 17 points.
Golden finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Kokesch added 11 points, four rebounds and four steals and Pendleton had 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Austin Koupal and Shelby Dahmes each had seven points.
