Golden Eagles drop first match of season.

    The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team opened its 2017 season with a matchup against the College of Saint Benedict Blazers Saturday, but was ultimately shut out 9-0 at the Choice Health & Fitness Center in Grand Forks, N.D.


    UMC begins its season with an 0-1 mark while CSB improves to 3-2.


    The Golden Eagles squad returns to action on Saturday in Winona. UMC faces off against the Upper Iowa University Peacocks at 12:30 p.m. and the Winona State University Warriors at 7 p.m.
