They’re right about one thing: Ragnar’s world is violent. But the only mystery is why nothing much happens. In season one, Ragnar wanted to sail West to England. The Earl who runs his village says no and tells him to go East. Ragnar goes West anyway. He and his fellow Vikings rape, pillage and plunder as [...]]]> Watch ‘Enlisted.’ That’s an order. http://www.redwoodfallsgazette.com/article/20140217/BLOGS/302179999/-1/blogs01?rssfeed=true Mon, 17 Feb 2014 00:18:39 +0000 smal3082 http://www.redwoodfallsgazette.com/article/20140217/BLOGS/302179999/-1/blogs01 In real life and screen life, serving your country is honorable. So how do you make a situation comedy about life in the military without letting the humor undermine the admiration most of us hold for those who serve? You write "Enlisted," a charming look at life in the Army where honor means finding worth in the job you do, even when it’s not on the battlefield.

In "Project Runway: Under the Gunn," twelve fashion designers are chosen by three past contestants from "Project Runway" who serve as their mentors. Within minutes of its first episode, a woman commits murder. In this case, the victim is a San Antonio assistant district attorney on her wedding day. After the killer shoots the bride, runs out of the church and jumps into a getaway car, a few of the wedding guests chase her, pull out their handguns and start shooting. It’s an unexpected and almost funny "don’t mess with Texas" kind of moment.

I wish I could tell you that this means Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) and Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan) have a torrid love affair or Mrs. Patmore (Lesley Nicol) runs away with the local butcher. I’ve got a man with no head to talk about, shadowy demons and gruesome murders. They all appear in a little town called Sleepy Hollow which in Fox’s new version, is less quaint hamlet and more ground zero for the arrival of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. This season, two comedies took on the premise of parents moving in with their children. Wilson made a name for herself in the film "Bridesmaids" and as the character Fat Amy in the movie "Pitch Perfect." "Get Out Alive!" I could imagine Bear shouting it in his British accent. Then again, it’s kind of a silly title since there is no alternative.
