The 2009 Walnut Grove Family Festival is being held Saturdays July 11, 18 and 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is being held in the Walnut Grove City Park, featuring family activities, en-tertainment, demonstrations, craft vendors and food. 
Other activities during the Walnut Grove Family Festival include:
• John J. Koblas, western author, lecturer and Jesse James au-thority, is going to be attending the Family Festival Saturday. He is going to be speaking about Jesse James at noon followed by book signing. He is planning on spending most of the afternoon visiting with folks about his books.

• Joel Schaan is going to perform with Scott Devlin and Toby Schaan throughout the day Saturday.
• Lonesome Ron, who does cowboy singing, folk songs, stories and yodeling, is performing at the Festival July 18 and 25 throughout the day.
• A car, truck, motorcycle and tractor show is being held July 18 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• William Anderson, author, historian, lecturer and Laura Ingalls Wilder biographer, is scheduled to be at the festival July 25 from 2-4 p.m. He is going to be speaking on his years of research and writings on Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family. An autograph session follows. Books are going to be available at the city park. They are also available at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum year round.
• There is an art ex-hibit July 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 from 3-8 p.m at the Walnut Grove Community Center.
