There is a lot of history behind what is known as Reede Gray Elementary School.
There was a lot of history on hand this past Wednesday at the elementary school to commemorate the most recent addition ot that history.
That morning a dedication was held for a new front entrance to the building.
A number of dignitaries were on hand to help celebrate the e-vent, including George Ramseth, a former administrator in the school district, who, along with fellow administrator C.O. Halvorson, helped get the building named after a fellow administrator and close friend – Reede Gray.
Gray, who served as superintendent at the school for more than 30 years, was honored by having the school named after him.
When the school originally opened in 1959, it was known as Sunnyside School.
The change recognized a man who was dedicated to education.
