The filing window closed for those city, school and township positions across Minnesota Aug. 14. What follows is the lost of individuals who filed for those offices in Renville County.

• In Bird Island, Julie Sander filed to serve as mayor, with Bob Cline, Jeff Engelmann and Krista Schneider filing for the two open city council seats.

• In Bird Island Township, Charles Glass, Jr. filed for the open Seat C supervisor post, with Richard Deinken filing to serve as township clerk. 

• In Boon Lake township, Randy Kruse filed for the Seat B supervisor post, with Leon Radtke filing for Seat C. Lisa Radtke filed to serve as township treasurer.

• In Buffalo Lake, Wayne Carrigan filed to serve as mayor, with Ryan Beich filing for one of the two open seats on the city council.

• Jim C. Aalderks and Gene Allex filed to serve as mayor in Danube, and Carrie Garza and Sharon Kroogman filed for the two open seats on the city council.

• In Fairfax, Bradley Augustin filed to serve as mayor, with Bradley Bastian and Joshua Bunkers filing for the two open seats on the council. No one filed for the special election seat on the city council in Fairfax.

• Todd Sherman filed to serve as mayor in Franklin, with Halley Morlock and Curt Scharfencamp filing for the two open positions on the city council.

• In Hector, Janis Weikle filed to serve as mayor, with Dave Brateng, Jeff Heerdt and Penny Kandt filing for the two open seats on the city council. Amy Hollan and Adam Schaufler filed for the special election position on the city council.

• In Hector Township, Jeff Broderius filed for the Seat A supervisor position, with Ryan Buboltz filing for Seat B.

• In Morton, Rick Farmer filed to serve as mayor, with Tom Jacobson and Linda Kahmeyer filing for the two open city council seats.

• Suzanne M. (Sue) Hillgert filed to serve as mayor in Olivia, with Blanca Ferguson and Thomas J. Kalahar filing for the two open city council seats.

• In Renville, Brent LeRoy Dahl, David D. Grund and Laura Rosen filed to serve on the city council. There are three open seats on the council.

• In Troy Township, Bob Kopel filed for the Seat C supervisor position, with Chris Penke filing to serve as township treasurer.

• In Winfield Township, Darin Bratsch and Michael Gorres filed for the Seat B supervisor position, with Michael Jakel filing for Seat C. Judi Seehusen filed to serve as township clerk.

• In the Buffalo Lake-Hector School District, Samantha Best, Brad Dobberstein, Alyssa Homan, Sherry Kenney, Dakota Krumrey, Brian Luthens, Allen Watkins and Kevin Zanoth filed for the three open seats on the school board.

• In the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop School District, Kelsey Odegard filed for the open seat in the Gibbon district, Marisa Lee filed for the open seat in the Fairfax district and Kevin Caldwell, Nicholas Krueger, Michael Kuehn and Matthew T. Rabe filed for the open Winthrop district post. Becky Vos filed for a special election seat in the Fairfax district

• In the BOLD School District, Sandra Benson, Jamie Bohlin, Jill Hanson and Russ Lesniak filed for the three open positions on the board.

• Darin Bratsch and Ryan Lippert filed to serve on the Renville County West School District Board. There are three open positions on the board.

Redwood County updates

• Matt Dvorak filed to serve on the Milroy city council.

• In the Westbrook-Walnut Grove School District, Jason Algyer, Nicole Brown, Maydra A. Maas and Greg Madison filed to serve on the school board. There are three open seats on the board.

• In Honner Township, Blake Hagert filed to serve as the supervisor for Seat A, with Dennis Rothmeier filing for Seat B and Anthony Evans filing for Seat C. Michelle Thooft filed to serve as township clerk, with Karla Rothmeier filing for serve as township treasurer.

• In Sheridan Township, Leo Mertens filed to serve as the Seat B supervisor, with Jim Jenniges filing for Seat C. Floyd Kramer filed to serve as treasurer.

• In Underwood Township, Bill Lightfoot filed to serve as Seat B supervisor. No one filed for Seat C. Cindy Larson filed to serve as treasurer.

• In Vesta Township, Gary Schmidt filed for the open Seat C supervisor position, with Barbara Schmidt filing to serve as town clerk.
