Greg Hager, Christian singer and songwriter from Valley N.D., will be giving a concert at the Evangelical Free Church of Redwood Falls this Sunday (Aug. 12). starting at 9:30 am. The E-Free church ministry center is located next to the Pizza Ranch in Redwood Falls. A church dinner will be served following the morning's concert.
Hager’s rural western roots run deep, and he writes and sings about the life he knows and lives. Valuable lessons about honesty, integrity and keeping your word – no matter what – were instilled at an early age, and form the backdrop of his musical perspective.
Those values are timeless and resonate with everyone, which is why so many identify strongly with his music. Worldwide, Hager’s music is making a difference. He regularly sells music in more than a dozen countries.
In Spring 2017 and also in 2018 he completed 24 concert tours of Japan – performing only his original western, country, cowboy, and Gospel songs. He has been invited back again.
Musically, Hager writes everything that he sings and his style is heavily influenced by other great 12-string guitar pickers and storytellers like John Denver, Roger Whittaker, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Overstreet, Clint Black, George Strait and many others.
His style is described as “easy-going, melody and clever” relating to more traditional country and western music prior to the pop-culture influences.
A Nashville-produced musician, Hager has recorded and released seven CD’s of 100 percent original music. In fact, Hager is the only artist in North Dakota history to do so.
Four of his albums are “positive” Western-styled country songs, one Christmas album bringing joy to the holidays and two albums of Country Gospel music that bring the “Good News” to song.
He is married with three children and lives in southeast North Dakota, near the family homestead.
Everyone is welcome to come to the concert this coming Sunday morning.
