The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is scheduled to begin construction on its US71/TH19 (Bridge Street) project in Redwood Falls July 19.
Work in the area will be done under traffic and will not need to be detoured.
An open house is being held July 12 at city hall in Redwood Falls from 5-6:30 p.m. to provide the community with a chance to learn about the project.
The work being conducted includes:
• Construction of a continuous two-way left-turn lane from South Cook Street to Patton Street.
• Installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection with CSAH 101
• Replacement of the traffic signals at the intersections of DeKalb and Swain streets
• A number of Americans with disabilities improvements, including pedestrian ramps, sidewalks and driveways, throughout the project area. Additional information on the project and any future updates can be found on the MnDOT Web site at www.mndot.gov.
The public is encouraged to attend the open house next week.
