Altimate Medical, Inc. has acquired Activeaid, Inc., as of May 1, 2018.
Altimate Medical and Activeaid have shared synergies in the marketplace, and both product portfolios complement and strengthen each other. Altimate Medical intends to continue operating the Activeaid business as an independent company.
According to Kyle Smith, Altimate Medical marketing manager, Activeaid will remain at its current facilities in Redwood Falls, and operations will continue at the existing locations. Smith added the workforce will largely remain the same.
In fact, plans are to expand soon with the addition of a new general manager and a quality management individual.
Activeaid, Inc., a Minnesota-based manufacturer of quality medical equipment since 1965, specializes in the rehabilitation field. The diverse product lines, proudly made in the USA, address a range of uses from daily care assistance in the home environment, to products designed for the hospital and the institutional market.
As a result of the acquisition, Todd Tholkes, president and CEO of Altimate Medical will assume leadership of Activeaid.

Tom Prentice, board chair of Altimate Medical Holdings is currently overseeing the transition and will lead the search for a new general manager at Activeaid.
