The Sustainable Farming Association (SFA) is hosting a Soil Health Cafe Chat April 2 at the Vesta Cafe. Coffee and rolls are being served from 9:30-10 a.m., with a program scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Speakers include Grant and Dawn Breitkreutz of Redwood Falls, as well as Allen Deutz of Marshall. Brian Pfarr of the Redwood County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and Holly Hatlewick of the Renville County SWCD are also going to be in attendance.
This event is free. No RSVP is required to attend.
The Breitkreutzes – as well as Deutz – are becoming nationally known for the soil health practices they are implementing at their Stoney Creek Farm.
This chat is a casual event that allows farmers to hear from fellow producers about soil health techniques that can improve profitability and sustainability.
The Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota supports the development and enhancement of sustainable farming systems through farmer-to-farmer networking, innovation, demonstration and education.
