Redwood Valley to meet NL/Spicer in Section 3AA-North semifinals
With 10 made three-pointers the Redwood Valley boys basketball team rolled to an 81-66 victory over visiting Paynesville Saturday night in Section 3AA-Quarterfinal action.
The Cardinals (13-13) move on to face second-seeded New London/Spicer (18-8) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night in Willmar. The two teams met up in late January with the Wildcats winning 74-66 on their home floor.
Cole Woodford went 3-of-4 from distance to lead the Cards with 22 points and four rebounds. Mitch Irlbeck added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Logan Josephson added 12 points and six boards.
Kyle Huhnerkoch added nine points and four rebounds, Payton Nelson hit two three’s to finish with six points and two boards and Colin Wells had five points. Carter Guetter chipped in with four points, Deo Charles had four points and three rebounds and Michael Mace added a point.
