Redwood County residents are encouraged to be part of the fight, and join the American Cancer Society in beating its biggest rival.
Volunteers are being sought to support the annual Relay For Life of Redwood County and help attack cancer from every angle. Community volunteers are the backbone of this movement, and anyone can be part of it right here.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising event to save lives from cancer. At Relay For Life events, participants celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost and take action for lifesaving change.
The Redwood County 2018 event will be held Friday, July 13 at Gilfillan Estates near Morgan.
A meeting will be held for interested community members this coming Monday (Feb. 12) starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Thrivent office located in Redwood Falls.
Funds raised help the American Cancer Society attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer – from developing breakthrough therapies to building supportive communities, and from providing empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness.
