On Feb. 5, 2018 at approximately 7:15 a.m. the Redwood Falls Police Department responded to the United States Post Office in Redwood Falls to take a damage to property report.

Darial Klabunde, local postmaster, reported that sometime between 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 and 7 a.m. Monday Feb. 5 someone broke the locks off two of the post office drop boxes located in the median on Fourth Street.

It is unknown if any mail was taken during the incident.

The Redwood Falls Police Department has been working with the United States postal inspector’s office, and two possible suspects have been identified.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity near the post office drop box between Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3) and Monday morning (Feb. 5) is encouraged to contact the police department at (507) 637-4005.
