Marilyn J. Fischer, 63, of Mankato passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Oaklawn Care Center in Mankato. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - South chapel. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - South chapel. She attended Redwood Falls High School. She married Thomas Walter Fischer October 22, 1989 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Marilyn worked many different jobs throughout Minnesota. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels, crossword puzzles, cryptogram puzzles and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Marilyn is survived by her children, Bonnie (Joe) Lowinske and Duane (Amanda) Wiederich and her grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Hunter Lowinske and Destiny, Israella Born; brother Lorne Dallman; sisters, Deb Christensen and Jean Burdick. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas Fischer; two grandchildren and her ex-husband Donald Wiederich; brother, Norman Dallman and her sister Lavon Olson.
