Brooklyn Nicole Larsen, 11, of Milroy passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 11, 2017 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 16 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Milroy. Interment was in the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery. Brooklyn Nicole Larsen was born May 25, 2006 to Jamie and Amy (Read) Larsen in Marshall. She was baptized and received her first communion at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Brooklyn attended Milroy Charter School kindergarten through fourth grade and Milroy Public School fifth through sixth grade. She enjoyed playing school basketball, T-ball, dancing, gymnastics and swimming. Brooklyn loved vacations, taking trips, camping and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, playing piano and singing. She enjoyed singing so much that she assisted with song leading during Mass. Brooklyn loved animals, especially her cat Mittens. She liked to do crafts, sewing, finger knitting, drawing and painting. Brooklyn enjoyed playing with friends, collecting rocks, tubing, riding 4-wheeler and watching TV. She always had a big smile on her face and her eyes sparkled when she smiled. Brooklyn is survived by her parents: Jamie and Amy Larsen; brothers: Devin and Brady; grandparents: Pat and Harold Read of Mesa, Ariz. and Jim and Pauline Larsen of Morgan; great-grandmother: Phyllis Senske of Glencoe; aunts and uncles: Rick Read of Morton, Joel and Julie Read of Redwood Falls, Laura Ramirez of Granite Falls, Jeff Read and fiance Angie Stevens of Milroy; Chad and Virginia Larsen of Redwood Falls, Jennifer and Ross Meyer of Morgan and Michelle Larsen of Morgan and many other relatives and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters Alecia and Kendyl Larsen, cousins Nicholas DeVries and Nick Wenisch and great-grandparents. “I Love You The Most! Don’t Say Anything!”
