1 – The Lamberton community is hosting its annual celebration known as Hot Iron Days Sept. 8-9, with the “Sparks Under the Stars” hot iron pour Sept. 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Lots of events are also taking place during the day Sept. 9. Everyone is invited to attend.

2 – The Special Olympics law enforcement torch run is being held Sept. 9 in Redwood Falls at Legion Park starting with registration at 9 a.m. The 10K starts at 10 a.m. with the 5K at 10:10 a.m. All are invited.

3 – Women of the Redwood area are invited to “Espresso Yourself,” a heartwarming journey of discovery, Sept. 9 from 11:15 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls.

4 – The Renville County Historical Society is hosting a patriotic pancake breakfast Sept. 9 from 9-11 a.m. at the museum in Morton. Free will donations are being accepted. Proceeds go to the historical society and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Renville County.

5 – St. Catherine’s church in Redwood Falls is hosting its annual Fall Festival Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with food, fun and entertainment for all ages. All are welcome.
