From more than 4,000 boutiques worldwide, Laney Lu’s Boutique of Redwood Falls has won the hearts of both local and global shoppers being voted into the final round of the 2017 Boutique Awards in Minnesota as a contender for Best Storefront Boutique of the Year.
The Boutique Awards is the only global recognition event for independent boutique retail owners in the fashion industry, hosted by The Boutique Hub. The awards recognize and celebrate the best boutiques across all 50 States in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, in the categories of Storefront Boutique of the Year, Online Boutique of the Year, Children’s Boutique of the Year, Mobile Boutique of the Year and State or Country Overall Boutique of the Year.
Already, the awards have garnered more than 300,000 votes from shoppers and consumers who love boutique shopping worldwide, and voting wraps up on Aug. 21, 2017 on www.theboutiqueawards.com.
The award celebrates retail at a unique time, when many are dubbing a current retail apocalypse.
However, industry trends show a strong upswing in the boutique retail market. The Boutique Hub, the global voice and Hub of the Boutique Fashion Industry, cites one of the strongest boutique markets in history with new boutiques opening daily across the globe and established boutiques posting some of the strongest sales to date.
The Shop Small movement is certainly alive and well as big box retail dwindles. Laney Lu’s Boutique opened March 1, 2014 by Emily Davis, owner of A&W Furniture. Carrying women’s fashion and apparel, catering to style seeking ladies wanting statement fashion pieces at affordable prices, the boutique has become another reason to visit the small town of Redwood Falls.
“We are thrilled to be nominated and up as one of the finalists in this statewide contest. We put our heart and soul into this uniquely positioned boutique, and our hard work has been acknowledged by loyal customers letting others know it’s one of their favorite shopping spots,” said Laney Lu’s Boutique owner, Emily Davis.
