The CornerMen’s Ministry of Cornerstone Christian Church in Redwood Falls is hosting the fourth annual Fachoy House fundraiser this Friday at the American Legion in Redwood Falls. Serving of a chicken broccoli dinner, which also includes egg rolls, chicken fried rice and a fortune cookie, is from 4-7 p.m.

This year, for the convenience of patrons, curb side pickup and home delivery options within the immediate Redwood Falls area are available.

“We’ll run it out to you, so you don’t even have to get out of your car,” said Gene Brownfield, one of the event coordinators.

According to Marcus Kendall, Cornerstone Church pastor, the event is held to raise funds that are used to provide scholarships to youth and adults who are interested in attending camp but may not have the financial means to do so.

“Through these scholarships we will have sent 30 youth and families to camp this summer,” said Kendall, adding the program has also assisted local Boy Scouts with summer trips they are taking as well.

A $15 donation is being accepted, and tickets may be purchased in advance by calling (507) 990-9198 or visiting the Cornerstone Christian Church Web site at cornerstones.com, as well as its Facebook page.

Dwight Hollingsworth, who initiated the event based on his past ownership and operation of the Fachoy House in Red-wood Falls, said tickets may also be purchased at the door Friday.

“Having these scholarships available makes a big impact on the youth and families of our community,” said Kendall, adding 100 percent of the proceeds are used for these scholarships.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this fundraising event.
