Starting Aug. 1 and for the following two days, the Gilfillan Estate on TH67 between Redwood Falls and Morgan will look much more like a city.

During that three-day period thousands of visitors will stop by to attend the annual Farmfest show, which has been held at the Redwood County historic site since 1992.

The gates open each day starting at 8 a.m., with the show continuing until 5 p.m. Tuesday and until 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Admission is $8 for the day.

Among the highlights of the event are the sweet corn feed at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1, the pancake breakfast Aug. 2 at 8 a.m. and the farm family of the year recognition program Aug. 3 at 1:15 p.m.

In addition several forums are being offered throughout the show. Hundreds of exhibits featuring the latest in agricultural innovation and lots of food will be available for those who attend.
