The annual community celebration known as V-ESTA Day is being held this coming Wednesday (July 19) in Vesta.
The event showcases the community’s famous barbecued chicken, which is being served from 5-8 p.m. in the air-conditioned community hall.
The cost for the meal, which includes chicken, potato salad, beans, a bun, pickles and a beverage, is $10 for a half or $6 for a quarter.
The night of celebration also includes a coins in the corn game for kids under age 6, as well as a backseat driver contest.
Root beer floats will be sold for $2 each, and the Vesta Booster Club will have its beer garden open for the event.
Music is being performed by Dallas Iverson.
The public is invited to come to Vesta July 19 to celebrate.
