Salvati has nice outing in game one win

The Redwood Falls Legion Post 38 baseball team recently swept a doubleheader with visiting Welcome-Sherburn at Memorial Field. Redwood Falls (4-4) opened up the twinbill with an 8-2 victory, as Joe Salvati threw four strong innings to pick up the victory on the hill. Cole Woodford had a big game at the plate going 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Spencer Quast added two hits, and Travis Rebstock picked up a pair of RBI. In game two, Jaden Van Hee got the start and would go five solid innings to earn the win in a 9-6 Redwood victory. Alex Louwagie would pick up the save in relief. Jared Lund led the way offensively with three hits and two RBI. Thursday night the team travelled to Lake Crystal and would gut out a 5-3 victory. TJ Crews got the start and would pick up the victory, and Salvati earned the save. Adam Bommersbach had three hits including a pair of doubles and two RBI. Woodford added a pair of hits as well in the win. Earlier, the team battled Springfield and would drop a pair of games by scores of 13-4 and 14-4. Woodford had two hits and two RBI, and Bommersbach had a pair of hits including a two-run home run. Van Hee who added a double and an RBI.
