Following a successful spring, the Wabasso Rabbits baseball team had three players recently named to the All-Tomahawk Conference First Team.

Senior Devan Liebl and juniors Nick Altermatt and Jacob Plaetz were all first-team selections for the Rabbits. Wabasso went 17-8 overall and tied for third in the competitive Tomahawk Conference standings.

In the postseason, the Rabbits advanced to the Section 3A final before falling to champion RRC/WWG. Kasey Kuck of New Ulm Cathedral was named player of the year. Aaron Nesvold of Sleepy Eye and Bob Fink of Springfield were named co-head coaches of the year.

Springfield captured the Tomahawk Conference title with a record of 11-3 (19-6 overall) and Sleepy Eye was the runner-up at 10-4 (12-8 overall). The Rabbits had eight players named to the All-Academic team (3.75 GPA or higher) including Liebl, Plaetz, Altermatt, CJ Theis, Jayden Eis, Caleb Frericks, Ty Kemp and Sam Rabenberg.
