The third presentation of the 2016-17 Redwood Area Concert Association season is Piano Conversations with Julian Gargiulo. This performance will be in the Estebo Performing Arts Center at Redwood Valley schools in Redwood Falls March 21 at 7 p.m.

Gargiulo is considered a charismatic pianist and composer who has performed in major concert halls around the world. He has also established music festivals and has used his time and talents to support student artists as well as non-profit organizations addressing childhood malnutrition.

The concert association is dedicating this concert to Vera Doidge who was a concert association member and supporter of music and arts in her community. A gift from Vera’s family is sponsoring a student mini-concert by Gargiulo at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the PAC.

All area piano students, as well as their parents and piano instructors, are welcome to attend. There is no charge for the afternoon concert.

Born in Italy, he now holds dual American/Italian citizenship, and has studied internationally in Russia and Italy as well as the US.

Any questions regarding the mini-concert can be directed to Jeanette Cornell at (507) 430-1762 or Nadine Marzolf at (507) 637-8598.
