Zoe Macklanburg and Megan DeMaris are Lions Club Students of the Month for January.

St. Mary’s senior Megan DeMaris has been highly involved in activities throughout high school, including cross country, band, and the musical. Megan has achieved a total of four superiors at the solo-ensemble contest, one as a freshman and three as a junior. She was also named to the Academic All-Conference as a sophomore and as a junior. Megan has been on the A Honor Roll throughout high school, and she serves as student council vice president and National Honor Society secretary. She is involved in church choir and youth group.

When it comes to surviving difficult times, Megan adheres to her personal values. “My faith has helped me realize that I can always turn to God for guidance and comfort,” she said.

Megan said her greatest life influence is her grandmother, who taught her to take time to help others. “Her positivity and her faith-filled life are two qualities I am developing to use throughout my life,” said Megan.
