Stevenson girls on point in Cardinal victory

The Redwood Valley gymnasts put together their best night of the season in a recent home victory over Pipestone Area.
The Cardinals scored a season best 135.875 to easily top the Arrows who finished at 113.850.
The duo of Hannah and Emma Stevenson finished one-two in the All-Around with strong All-Around scores of 35.575 and 34.975.
Hannah was first on vault (9.075), floor (9.4), bars (8.3) and was second on beam (8.8).
Emma had an impressive 9.25 in winning the beam competition, was second on vault (8.9) and bars (7.975) and third on floor (8.85).
Sidney Beran was second on floor (8.925), and Abby Beran finished third on vault (8.525) and fourth on floor (8.2).
Mikayla Opatz was second on bars (8.2), and Riley Franklin finished fourth (7.6).
Jenna Grannes was third on beam (8.325), and fifth place finishes went to Carlath Berry on floor (8.15) and Brittany Bierl (8.2) on vault.
The Cards also won the JV competition, winning 116.05-97.45.
Hailey Mohr was second in the All-Around with a score of 23.2, finishing first on vault (8.2) and bars (7.5) and third on floor (7.5).
Franklin was third in the All-Around (22.95), finishing first on floor (8.4) and second on vault (8.15) and beam (6.4).
Maddie Evans was tops on beam (6.85).
Lizzie Guggisberg and Ellie Mertens were fourth and fifth respectively in the All-Around.
