Redwood Valley ends three-game skid with 77-69 win over Windom Area

Pulling away in the second half the Redwood Valley boys basketball team defeated visiting Windom Area 77-68 Tuesday night in a Big South Conference match-up.
Mitch Irlbeck led the way with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists.
James Pendleton finished with 19 points, seven boards and six assists and Logan Josephson had a season-high 13 points to go along with five rebounds.
Cole Woodford added 11 points and four rebounds, Caden Hanna had six points and three rebounds and Deo Charles added three points and two assists.
Over the weekend the Cards (2-3) took part in the Maple River Tournament, falling 93-71 to unbeaten St. Cloud Cathedral (4-0) on Friday and falling 84-81 to Maple River (3-1) in a tight battle.
Friday night against Cathedral, the Cards were outscored 41-29 in the second half after trailing 52-42 at the half.
Pendleton scored a season-high 31 points to go along with six assists and five rebounds.
Woodford went 4-of-6 from long range to finish with 16 points and three boards, and Irlbeck added 15 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Kyle Huhnerkoch had three points and two boards, Thomas Benson had three points and Hanna added two points and two rebounds.
Saturday the Cards hooked up with Maple River and it would go right down to the wire, as an Irlbeck three at the buzzer fell short in a three-point loss.
Woodford knocked down four three pointers on the way to a career-high 26 points and three assists.
Pendleton was 5-of-8 from long range on the way to 22 points, Irlbeck added 12 points and six boards and Huhnerkoch had 10 points.
Josephson chipped in with six points and four boards, and Benson had three points and three rebounds.
