  • A village in northeastern Afghanistan was buried today during a landslide after heavy rains. At least 350 people are dead, according to a U.N. official, and at least 2,000 people are missing. Rescuers were working the scene trying to rescue people trapped under rocks, USA Today reported.

Police found bomb-making materials at the site, and detained LaDue, who admitted to the attack plan.
