  • The City of Redwood Falls is going to have contested races in three of its open seats, including that of mayor, as well as for the Ward 3 council seat.

  • The City of Redwood Falls is going to have contested races in three of its open seats, including that of mayor, as well as for the Ward 3 council seat. Current mayor Corey Theis and Larry Kreckow, who has experience on the city council, are going to vie for the mayoral position, with Pam Prouty, who currently is serving as the city council member in Ward 3, facing off against Bob VanHee. The third contested race is a special election that saw Paul DeBlieck and Cindy LaBrie filing to serve. What follows is the most current list of those who have filed as candidates to fill area city council and school board positions: • In the City of Belview, Marlo Sander filed to serve as mayor, and Myrle Peterson and Linda Sullivan filed to serve in the two open city council posts. • In Clements, Thomas Groebner filed to serve as mayor, with Tammy Frost and Dennis Stewig filing to fill the two open city council positions. • In the City of Delhi, Cindy Bell filed for the mayoral post, and as of late last week no names had been listed as having filed for the two open city council seats or the city clerk position. • Two individuals, Nor-man Bedner and Bill Schaffran, filed to serve as mayor in Lamberton, with five filing to fill the two open city council seats in Lamberton, including David Irlbeck, Joel Keairnes, Penny Mattison, Lydell Sik and Bruce M. Starkson. • In Lucan, Rindy Filzen filed to serve as mayor, with Jerry Jenniges, Robert Plaetz and Thomas Prechel filing for the two open council spots.
    • In Milroy, Jeff VanDeWiele filed to serve as mayor, with Cheryl Bowman, Colleen Brooks and Elizabeth “Dolly” Graham filing for the two open city council seats. • In Morgan, Robert Fischer filed to serve as mayor, with Douglas Good-rich, Jack Heiling and Amanda Monroe filing for the two open city council positions. • Dean Baker filed to serve as mayor in Revere, with Robert Albertson and Jason Danielowski filing to serve on the city council for the two open spots. • Two individuals, Andrew Alan Larson and Earl T. Page filed to serve as mayor in Sanborn, and three individuals filed for the two open city council positions, including Edward Ochs, Kayla Lang and David Miller. • In Seaforth, Charles Rohlik filed to serve as mayor, with Michael L. Henning and Ryan Kramer filing to serve in the two open city council positions. No one filed for the open city council position that is part of a special election. • In Vesta, Corey Jenniges filed for the mayor post, while no one filed for the open city council positions. There are three spots open in Vesta. • In Wabasso, Brad Pitzl filed to serve as mayor, with no individuals filing to serve in the two open city council positions. • Greg Hansen filed to serve as mayor in Walnut Grove, with Jeffrey R. Harnack and Leonard McLaughlin filing to fill the two open city council seats. • In Wanda, Karen Weber filed to serve as mayor, with Lee Jenniges and Kelly Klann filing to serve in the two open city council spots. • In Danube, Gene Allex, Sr. filed to serve as mayor, with Sharon Krogman and David Maurice filing to serve in the two open city council positions. • Ronald Degner and Timothy Joehnck filed to serve as mayor in Franklin, with Corey Gruendemann, Mandy (Hall) Heibl, Rick Hempel, Reeba Kiecker, Wayne Lyon and Curt Scharfencamp filing to serve in the two open city council positions. • Rick Farmer and Bennie Mammen filed to serve as mayor in Morton, with Tom Jacobson and Sandra Walker filing to serve in the two open city council positions. A special election for a city council seat is also being held, with Jeff L. Balsley filing for that spot. • In Renville, there are three open city council seats, with Brent Dahl, Jeremy Hinderks, Raye McKim, Jeff Pike, Shane Wohlman, Gary Wulf and Adam Zaske filing to serve. • Three individuals filed to serve in the three open seats on the Cedar Mountain School Board, including Ash Liebl, Douglas David Mathiowetz and Jennifer Rose. • Alan J. Clarke and Kelly Pfarr filed to serve District 1 on the Red Rock Central School Board, with Brenda Derickson, Valerie Halter and William Rogotzke filing to serve District 3. • Scott Bowman and Rebecca Zick filed to serve on the Milroy School Board. There are three open positions on the board. • Tom Carlson, Ann Marie Doubler, Dave Eis and Caroline Netzke filed to serve in the four open positions on the Wabasso School Board. • Darin Bratsch, Eric Dahlager and Wendie Discher filed to serve in the three seats open on the Renville County West school board.
