  • The Red Cross was aiming to collect 275 units of blood when it visited Redwood Falls last week, and went away with one unit short of its goal. With 16 deferrals, the goal was in reach, the loss compensated in part by four first-time donors. Results of the blood drive at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church on July 21-22: • Double red donors: 54 • Total units collected: 274 First time donors: Kirsten Degonda (16 years old),Maribeth Lueck, Kira Rogers, Julie Buffie • One gallon donor: Devyn Meyer • Four gallon donor: Janet Rudenick, Jason Allen • Five gallon donor: Lynn Kratz • Six gallon donor: Rick Ellingworth • Seven gallon donor: Agnes Johanneck, Tom Balko Sr., Jean Hillesheim • 10 gallon donor: Jeannie Malecha, Burlyn Barnes, Phyllis Prodoehl, Theresa Zeug • 11 gallon donor: Laura Kohler • 12 gallon donor: Gene Heiling, Laura Johnson • 14 gallon donor: Larry Wessels • 15 gallon donor: Eugene Kohout • 16 gallon donor: Mike Salfer
