  • More than 700 cyclists are going to participate in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upper Midwest Chapter’s 25th Bike MS: TRAM Ride July 13-18. Among the stops the ride is making is one in Redwood Falls. That stop is tomorrow. In 2013, the five-day, 300-mile ride raised $750,000 to move toward a world free of MS. The 2014 adventure showcases the picturesque beauty of southern Minne-sota. Cyclists arrived in Pipestone Sunday, and the ride kicked off yesterday at 6:30 a.m. Cyclists are going to be traveling through Marshall, Redwood Falls, St. Peter and New Prague before crossing the finish line in Welch Village Friday. Funds raised through Bike MS support programs and services for the more than 17,000 people living with MS in the upper midwest and drive research for a cure. A variety of events are scheduled in Redwood Falls during the day, with buses shuttling TRAM participants to various locations throughout town. At night Daktronics is going to show a movie starting at 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to get involved with the TRAM events in town. Much of the activity is taking place at the Redwood Area Community Center. To find out how to get involved as a volunteer, contact the Redwood Area Chamber & Tourism office at (507) 637-2828.
