  • The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall is coming to Marshall July 10-13, 2014, and is going to be on display at Independence Park, around the clock all four days.

  • The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall is coming to Marshall July 10-13, 2014, and is going to be on display at Independence Park, around the clock all four days. The wall is dedicated to honor courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty and country by all who served. It is 288 feet long at the center and is six feet high, tapering down at 144 feet. As of May 2009, there are 58,261 names on the wall, including 1,082 Minnesotans. An opening ceremony is being held July 11 at 7 p.m. Council President of the Vietnam Vets of America (VVA) from Granite Falls is scheduled to speak. Everything is free and open to the public for the entire four days the Wall will be on display. Assistance is available on site for handicapped individuals.
