Redwood Area Hospital partnered with the Redwood Falls Rotary Club to donate wheelchairs and other assistive devices to countries such as Romania and Guatemala.
Several Rotary clubs in southwest Minnesota hosted a wheelchair drive, completed on May 31st. The wheelchairs and other assistive devices such as walkers, crutches and canes will be refurbished by Hope Haven of Sioux Falls, SD and shipped to countries such as Romania and Guatemala for use by those in need who have never been fortunate enough to have one. Redwood Area Hospital partnered with the Redwood Falls Rotary Club to provide 7 wheelchairs, 4 sets of crutches, 14 walkers and 2 pediatric walkers, 6 quad canes and 1 single arm crutch. “We are proud to be a part of this event and help get wheelchairs and walkers to people around the world who are in need,” said Bryan Lydick, Redwood Area Hospital CEO and Redwood Falls Rotary Club member.
