  • Four men pose for a photo on what appears to be Second Street in Redwood Falls likely sometime during the 1940-50s. Why are they together? The four men are Bob Buck-ley, Ed Johnson, Don Neu-mann, and “Granny” Duscher. Bob, who was known as “theater” Bob, was the son of Don Buckley, who owned the Redwood Amusement Com-pany, which operated the Falls Theater, the Redwood Theater and the Drive-In Theater. He operated the theaters in collaboration with Ed Johnson, who worked for the Buckley family for 25 years before moving on to work at the Savings and Loan. Johnson also served in city leadership, including being mayor in the 50s. Some may recall him as Mr. Redwood Falls. No one has been able to recall “Granny” Duscher’s real name, but they know he was a barber. Nothing has been provided about Mr. Neumann at this time. Send any other information you may have about these men to tkrause@redwoodfallsgazette.com.
