Tobacco sales compliance checks were conducted Sept. 2, Oct. 30 and Nov. 27 in the City of Redwood Falls by the Redwood Falls Police Department.
Working with plain clothes and uniformed officers, an underage buyer entered several community establishments and attempted to illegally purchase tobacco products.
The police department is reporting all local establishments which were checked refused to sell tobacco to the underage buyer.
Those establishments which complied with the law by not selling tobacco to the underage buyer were:
• The American Legion
• Casey’s General Store (both Mill Street and Bridge Street)
• The Liquor Lodge
• The Bottle Shop
• The VFW
The efforts of these responsible businesses are being commended by the local police department.
