  • Officials working as part of the Redwood Area Community Center and the city parks and recreation program want the public to know just what the City of Redwood Falls has to offer them.
In an effort to help them see what is available an open house is being held this coming Sunday at the Redwood Area Commun-ity Center. The event is going to run from 4-7 p.m.
“We want people to come and enjoy some family time and see what we have to offer,” said Jackie Edwards, city parks and recreation director. “Everything during the open house is free.”
During the open house, visitors to the community center are going to be able to take part in open skating, inflatable fun (a 45-foot obstacle course, sports bounce house and funny farm slide), and kids have a chance to enjoy the playground all at no cost.
Food is also being provided, said Edwards, with Tersteeg’s, the Road-house Bar & Grill and Pizza Ranch all offering something for visitors.
Staff is also going to be on hand to provide tours of the facility, to talk about what other community programs are available and to sign up those who are interested. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
