  • There are thousands of reasons to be thankful this year, and churches in the area are offering the opportunity for people to express their appreciation to God for his provision over the past year during worship services being held this coming week.

  • There are thousands of reasons to be thankful this year, and churches in the area are offering the opportunity for people to express their appreciation to God for his provision over the past year during worship services being held this coming week. All are invited to attend the service of their choice next week.
    Congregations which have scheduled Thanks-giving services include:
    • A joint service Tues-day at 7 p.m. with Red-wood Falls First United and Redwood Falls First Pres-byterian churches participating. The service is at the Methodist church with Scott Prouty of the Pres-byterian church preaching.
    • Harvest Baptist Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving service Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
    • Grace Lutheran Church in Belview is having a service Tuesday at 7 p.m.
    • Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 6:30 p.m. with a pie social to follow.
    • St. Catherine’s Cath-olic Church in Redwood Falls is having a Thanksgiv-ing Eve service at 5:30 p.m.
    • The Evangelical Free Church of Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at the church be-ginning at 7 p.m.
    • St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m., with a Thanksgiving Day service at 9 a.m. at the church.
    • Christ’s Victory Luth-eran in Redwood Falls is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service starting at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
    • A combined Thanks-giving Eve service, with the United Methodist and St. John Lutheran churches of Morgan at the Methodist church at 7 p.m. The children are going to be singing as part of the worship service.
    • Echo Alliance Church in Echo is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service starting at 7 p.m.
    • Word of Life Lutheran Church in Belview is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve worship service at the church starting at 7 p.m.
    • St. John Lutheran Church in Vesta is having a Thanksgiving Eve service at the church which is starting at 7 p.m.
    • St. John’s Oratory in Clements is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve Mass at the church at 5:30 p.m.
    • Rock Dell Lutheran Church of rural Belview is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve service at the church starting at 7 p.m.
    • St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton is hosting a Thanksgiving Day service at 8 a.m.
    • Our Savior’s Luth-eran Church in Belview is hosting a Thanks-giving Day service at the church at 9 a.m.
    • Peace Lutheran in Echo is hosting a Thanksgiving Day service at 9 a.m.
    Page 2 of 2 - • Sundown Lutheran Church in rural Spring-field is hosting a Thanksgiving service Sunday during its 10:30 a.m. service. A pot luck follows.
    • An ecumenical service is being held in Milroy with St. Michael’s Catholic, Our Savior’s Lutheran and Ashford Presbyterian churches participating. The service is at 7 p.m. at St. Michael’s.
    • An ecumenical Thanksgiving service is being held Sunday at 7 p.m. in Lucan at Trinity Lutheran. Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church is also participating.
    • St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso is hosting an ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Wabasso is also participating.
