  • Florence Engholm, 100, of Morgan died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 16, 2013 from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morgan with burial following in Zion Eden Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in rural Morgan.

    Florence Bertha Engholm, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Netzke) Kopischke, was born April 19, 1913 on the family farm in Eden Township, Brown County. She grew up in Eden Township and received her formal education in the nearby country school.
    On November 11, 1938, Florence married Elmer Engholm at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived on the home place until purchasing their own farm near Evan in 1949.
    Florence enjoyed being a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Women’s Guild.
    Florence is survived by her children Galen (Gloria) Engholm of Sleepy Eye, Harley (Penny) Engholm of Sparks, Nev., and Eileen (Dick) Soyk of Wautoma, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, two brothers, and one sister.
