  • Todd Becker was a student who had it all. He was a standout athlete, and was looking forward to graduating from high school.
That never happened, because Todd died in an alcohol-related crash Feb. 5, 2005.
Since that day his brother Keith Becker, who established the Todd Becker Foundation, has been talking with kids not only about the choices they are making but in what direction their lives are heading.
Keith Becker, shared the life and death of his brother with students at RVHS during a lyceum sponsored by the Redwood Area Ministerial Association Oct. 9.
Keith, who admitted he was heading down the same path of bad choices, said when his brother died he was asking questions not simply about the here and now but about eternity. What happens when a person dies?
Determining the answer to that question could only be found in faith, Becker turned away from those bad choices and dedicated his life to sharing a message of finding the right path with students.
Becker, who is from Kearney, Neb. has spoken to thousands of students in the midwest about his brother and about how they can find hope in Jesus. His presentations include a lyceum for students during the school day, which is then followed by an evening presentation where he shares his faith and the hope others can find in putting their trust in God.
“Jesus has made all the difference in my life,” said Becker.
The culture is trying to lead kids astray, he said, adding he wants to help kids find a way to live their lives they are not wasted. Find more online at www.toddbecker.org.
