Gov. Mark Dayton announced late last week the appointment of Patrick R. Rohland as district court judge in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District. He is going to be replacing the Honorable David W. Peterson, who retired earlier this year.
The judgeship is chambered in Redwood Falls.
Rohland currently serves as the Redwood Falls city attorney. Previously, he served in the Redwood County Attorney’s office.
Rohland serves as a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 97, and he is a youth group leader with Corner-stone Christian Church.
Rohland resides with his family in Redwood Falls.
The fifth district consists of Blue Earth, Brown, Cotton-wood, Faribault, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, Rock and Wat-onwan counties.
