The Redwood Area Development Corpor-ation (RADC) is hosting a solar/energy efficiency educational forum on Aug. 20.
Presentation times are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. or from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls.
RADC and Novel Energy Solutions, which is an energy management company focused on providing financially viable, environmentally friendly technologies, are presenting an educational forum on clean energy options for your home, business or farm operation. The focus is go-ing to be on renewable energy that can reduce carbon footprint, energy consumption and money on utility bills.
Topics are going to include: solar PV, thermal solar and lighting upgrades to LED (light-emitting di-odes).
Speakers for the educational forum in-clude: District 16 Sen. Gary Dahms, speaking on the recent solar energy legislations passed by the Min-nesota legislature; Annette Bair, South-west Minnesota Re-gional CERTS coordinator speaking on property assessed clean energy (PACE); Paul Pierson, speaking on USDA renewable energy loans and the REAP grant program; Sandy Ludeman, area farmer, speaking on grant funds for communities through the community foundation funds and renewable energy loans from the Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF); an Industrial and Resi-dential Lighting Supply reps speaking on making small changes that result in reduced energy consumption at your home, business, or farm and Novel Energy Solutions, speaking on PV, solar thermal and finance options for clean energy management and Julie Rath, RADC economic dev-elopment specialist and/or area businesses speaking on their solar/energy efficiency projects in the area.
