Cyrilla Ann Turbes, 87, of Springfield died April 18, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be April 22 from 4-7 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Springfield.
There will be a parish prayer service April 22 at 5 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
The service will be held at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Springfield Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Pastor Mark Mallak. Interment will be at the St. Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.

Cyrilla Turbes was born July 24, 1925 to Theodore and Ann (Lang) Fischer and resided on a farm in Bashaw Township Brown County.
She attended country school district 59 and 65 and St. Raphael’s Catholic School. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Church and St. Anne’s CCW. On November 12, 1960 she married James Turbes at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church.
They farmed in Brookville Township until Fall 1985 when they moved to Grand Rapids for several years. There they enjoyed many hours of fishing, golfing, gardening and visiting with friends. The couple moved back to Springfield in 1988. Cyrilla and Jim enjoyed traveling, especially their trips to Branson and Alaska, card playing and visiting with relatives and friends, gardening, and spending time with grandchildren.
In March 2013, they moved to Countryside Apartments in Sleepy Eye.
Cyrilla is survived by her husband James; daughters – Patricia (Ken) Hemmingsen of Springfield and Jean (Nick) Frank of Grand Rapids and granddaughters – Shari and Alison Hemmingsen of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marcie Buddensiek.
