Barbara Darr, James Darr, James Gallery, Carolyn Laufenburger, Mary Liebl and Paul Pryor will be inducted into the area Hall of Fame on May 1.
The Redwood Area Education Foundation and the Redwood Valley Hall of Fame have announced those who are going to be inducted as part of the Class of 2013 hall of fame.
Six individuals have been selected for induction, including Barbara Darr, James Darr, James Gallery, Carolyn Laufenburger, Mary Liebl and Paul Pryor.
Barbara Darr is being inducted in the faculty/staff category. She spent her education career teaching language arts to students in Grades 7-9.
James Darr is being inducted in the faculty/staff category. He spent his education career teaching science to students in the local school district, and although he has retired he is still serving as equipment manager.
James Gallery is being inducted in the alumni category. He is a 1980 graduate of Morton High School.
He spent several years playing professional football as a placekicker for several teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cincin-nati Bengals and the Min-nesota Vikings.
Carolyn Laufenburger is being inducted in the community category. She has spent her life promoting music in various ways, including spending several years as accompanist for the school’s music department.
Mary Liebl is being inducted in the faculty/staff category. She spent nearly 30 years working in the local district, including her final years as an RVMS secretary.
Paul Pryor is being inducted in the alumni category. He is a Redwood Falls High School graduate and long-time supporter of the school district in various ways.
The induction ceremony is taking place May 1 during the Evening of the Stars event.
Tickets for the banquet go on sale April 1 and are available in the RASD office.
